Voivodship Labour Office in Gdansk (VLO is a self-government organisational unit. It undertakes the tasks of the self government in the field of labour market policy which is concerned with policies of employment and combating unemployment. Labour Office co-operates with different organisations, institutions and partners both Polish and foreign. Moreover Voivodship Labour Office initiates different programmes financed both from national funds and European Union funds to counteract unemployment. In the years 1998-2000 VLO undertook the following projects: "Women into Business" (Phare), "Active Woman" and "Manager 2000" (LdV). In 2003 year WUP has completed the realisation of "Restart 2001" project (LdV). In June 2004 VLO has finished the project EURO-WOMAN It is currently involved in two projects: "Learning from success" (LdV) and "YOU ALSO HAVE A CHANCE" project (Socrates, Grundtvig 1). WUP is the Promoter in most of the above mentioned projects.
