TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR NATIONAL EDUCATION MINISTRY's NONTEACHING PERSONEL WORKİNG in SCHOLLS
Teaching staff in schools are required to have pedagogical formation to work with pupils, but for the other personnel, although they become face to face with students of wide- range had no obligation to have any pedagogical background. School secretaries, servants, canteen staff, or even the bus-driver are the crucial agents for in the terms of safeguarding students, hygiene conditions of the school environment, social development of the students (the rules of good manners, conversation rules, communication skills) and psychological development of the students (their attitudes towards the adolescents)
These people should be supported morally and intellectually by means of several educational programs. Training subjects would be;
*In order to cope with the negative experiences arise from their vocation, stress management skills courses and sharing groups can be conducted.
*Informative courses about appointing personnel for their vocational role (sometimes there could be a confusion about staffs' role defining. They interfere each other, also behave as an authoritarian parent towards children).
*Seminars about career development,
*Assorted activity and support groups
This project will take three years. In the first year surveys about job satisfaction, personnel expectations from employer will be implemented. Also the opinions of management, teaching staff, students and parents related to these people will be searched. Results will be evaluated and reported. In the second year, training programs will be started. In the last year, post-tests about the benefits of trainings will be implemented to trainees and other relevant in order to estimate the project outcomes.
All courses will give certificate to the participants and this certificate provides personnel to raise in their career path.
