Nations Development Programme is seeking a full-time Project Manager for its project “Strengthening Romanian Government’s capacity to deal with difficult situations generated by natural disasters – Capacity Development for Crisis Situation (CDCS)”

 

The position is opened to Romanian nationals only.

 

Duties: The Project Manager will be responsible for the operational management of the project, in accordance with the project document and UNDP policies and procedures. The Project Manager will carry out his/her work under the administrative authority of UNDP Romania, and in close cooperation with the National Project Director (official in the Ministry of Administration and Interior / Inspectorate for Emergency Situations).

Duration of Employment: March – December 2006

Qualifications: Graduate degree and strong expertise background related to the project (public administration, economics, strategic planning, private-public partnerships, crisis prevention/recovery); relevant experience in project management and foreign assistance; excellent computer skills; excellent command of English; excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in cooperating with public administration, national and local authorities, would be an advantage.
