Programme: Leonardo da Vinci
Budget (EURO): 800,000.00
Description: PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:
The objective of the call for proposals is to award grants to around ten proposals for the organisation of activities to set up or consolidate partnerships, consortia or joint platforms and experimental measures designed to support transnational cooperation with a view to putting the ECVET system into practice for the benefit of various groups.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
The proposals for this call will build on the previous achievement of European cooperation on credit system in VET and must in particular aim to:
– set up lasting transnational partnerships
– establish transnational cooperation platforms
– design and implement interinstitutional transnational cooperation actions.

ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES:
The following activities may be taken into consideration under this call for proposals:
– establishment of stable consortia or cooperation platforms made up of organisations, institutions, competent authorities
– preparatory studies useful for analysing the needs of target users and devising responses appropriate to these needs
– experimental application of the ECVET principles and methodologies to existing vocational certification systems
– organisation of seminars, meetings or workshops on the mechanisms and implementation of the ECVET credit systems
– design of innovative instruments, publications or websites focusing on the operational aspects of the credit system and transnational cooperation in this field
– follow-up activities useful for consolidating the results.

WHO CAN APPLY:
Applicants must be legal entities established in one of the 25 Member States of the European
Union, in one of the EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) or in one of the
applicant countries (Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey).

PROJECT DURATION:
The maximum duration of projects is 12 months. Activities should begin between 1.11.2006 and 1.03.2007.

FINANCING CONDITIONS:
The total budget earmarked for funding projects is estimated at EUR 800 000.
The maximum grant will be EUR 100 000 (covering in any case a maximum of 75 % of the eligible costs).
A share of 20 % of the total budget must be allocated to funding information and dissemination activities.

DEADLINE:
Applications must be sent to the Commission no later than 31 August 2006.
