Call for proposals for projects promoting innovation and quality in the youth sector*<http://www.infoeuropa.ro/ieweb/jsp/page.jsp?cid=197&lid=2&id=26995> *Budget (EURO):* 600,000.00 *Description:* PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: This call for proposals concerns Action 4.4 of the Youth in Action programme. The intention is to support projects that seek to adopt, implement and encourage innovative and good quality approaches in the fields of non-formal education for young people and youth work. The projects will seek to support the integration of young people with fewer opportunities living in suburban areas in Europe, in line with the programme's general priorities which are intended to encourage participation by young people, cultural diversity, European citizenship, social inclusion and 2007's special priority, promoting equal opportunities (2007, European Year of Equal Opportunities for All). ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES: Eligible activities under this call for proposals are: - conferences; - training activities; - seminars; - information activities; - networking activities. This list of eligible activities is only intended to give examples. In view of the fact that this call for proposals focuses on innovation, applicants are invited to propose other/additional kinds of activities they deem to be useful. WHO CAN APPLY: Proposals should be submitted by non-profit-making organisations or associations or by local, regional or national bodies. Only applicants with a legal personality who are established in one of the programme countries are eligible to apply. This condition applies equally to partner organisations. The programme countries are: - Member States of the European Union; - Those countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) which are parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA): Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway; - Candidate countries for which a pre-accession strategy has been established, in accordance with the general principles and general terms and conditions laid down in the framework agreements concluded with these countries with a view to their participation in EU programmes (Turkey). Projects must include partner organisations from at least 4 different countries (this includes the applicant) at least one of which must have their statutory head office in one of the EU Member States. Natural persons are not eligible for grants under this call for proposals. PROJECT DURATION: Work must start between 1 December 2007 and 31 January 2008. Projects must run for at least 12 months but no more than 24 months. FINANCING CONDITIONS: The total budget allocated to co-financing projects under this call for proposals is estimated to be approximately EUR 600 000. DEADLINE: Applications must be sent to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) by 30 June 2007 at the latest (as evidenced by the postmark).
