On behalf of our client, one of the world's leading engineering,
procurement and construction (EPC) companies, we are searching for
Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineers (Office work) to work with
permanent contract in London, UK.The Senior Engineer has to provide
technical expertise and supervise staff assigned to him by project
lead engineer. Assume role of lead engineer for small/minor projects.
Responsibilities
The engineering of particular equipment or plant areas assigned by the
Lead Engineer.
o This will include production of project specific specifications,
formulating technical content of requisitions, approval of vendor data
and relevant the company drawings and documents such as layouts and
start-up/operating procedures.
o Ensure that engineering is carried out in accordance with the
company's procedures and contractual requirements to the agreed budget
and schedule.
o Compliance with all project instructions and company EHS procedures.
o Co-ordination and control of engineering man-hours and costs
associated with the equipment or areas allocated to him/her.
o Preparation/checking of engineering calculations.
o Report on a regular basis on all matters affecting technical
problems, costs, or programme to the Lead Engineer or Project Engineer
as appropriate.
o Must be familiar with and comply with engineering general procedures
and all project specific procedures.
o Act as Lead Engineer on minor projects (see Principal Engineer
description for project responsibilities).
o Experience in conceptual and detailed design (office work), on-site
experience being a plus.
