Hi Jimmie John McBurney from Atlanta Georgia replying to your message.
I know of an orphange in Constanta called Casa Speranta which cares for orphans with HIV/AIDS. There was a National Guard unit from Alabama which was also working with this group. If you are interested in learning more, I can out you in touch with one of the officers of the Guard unit. I am working with a State run orphanage in Bucharest which cares for 60 kids. I do not now if any are HIV positive, never asked. There are many of these institutions around the country, but getting specifics is difficult. I have a friend who is an attorney involved in child welfare cases in Romania. Perhaps he can provide some additional information. Let me know more specifics about your interests in service and I will forward relevant 411.
