Hello All,

We are currently using Rose 2000e and have come across a bug in the
Web Publisher Add-in. I was wondering if anybody else has:
a) Come across this problem
b) Worked out a way to fix it/get around it
c) Or, if it is fixed in a newer version of Rose.

When we publish a model with diagrams, regardless of the format of
the images in the diagrams (you can select different options, ie:
.jpg, .png, .bmp) the navigation through diagrams which have layered
objects does not work.
When layering objects on a diagram, Rose treats the objects
correctly - you can click on the smaller objects on the top of larger
ones normally.
However, the Rose Web Publisher tends to put the largest object "to
the front" and the smallest objects "behind" it. The result being,
when you try to click on the smaller objects displayed (in order to
drill down into diagrams underneath - ie: an Activity diagram under a
use case) the browser only recognises the larger object and navigates
you to the diagram or specifications of the large object and not the
one you tried to select.

After inspecting the HTML, we have discovered that the Web
Publisher "knows" that there are several images on the page, and
assigns the appropriate links using an image map. It maps the images
in the wrong order by putting the largest object in the diagram at
the top of the map, followed by the smaller objects. If you manually
change the html so that the first object listed (which is the largest
one) is moved to the end of the list, the navigation works!

When we have several diagrams with this situation, it is not viable
for us to manually change the HTML for each diagram.

Help?!! Anybody?

Thank-you!

Tara.
