Hello Tanya,

I believe that the Rose Web-Publisher works on the actual underlying
Rose model (i.e. the *.mdl) file, where the order of package (as well as
other elements) creations are preserved. For example, if I create a package
named "Zebra", and then create another package named "Apple", then in the
actual model this order is preserved - not alphabitized. The web-publisher
does not do any extra alphabitization of elements it reads from a model. My
educated guess would be that the alphabitization you see within the Rose's
browser is done by the tree-browser's data-structure/control in the GUI code
and has nothing do with the order of package creations in the model.
In short, currently, there are no settings/switches to set for the
Web-Publisher to alphabitize the items it sees.

Hope this helps,

Thank you,

Subject: (ROSE) Web publishing in alphabetical order

Hi All,

We are using Rose 2001 to model java packages which in Rose appear in
alphabetical order however when published they are not in alphabetical
order but appear to be in the order in which they were created in Rose.
Can anyone tell me how I can publish rose models in alphabetical order ?

regards,
Tanya
