Hi all, first a short introduction: my name is Leon Vinken, I am working on MusicXML import/export in KGuitar (an open source guitar tablature editor) and NoteEdit (an open source score editor).
When I look at the MusicMXL files generated by Rosegarden, I believe a few things are incorrect: Not every <part> has a corresponding </part> Note types crotchet and minim should be quarter, half etcetera MIDI channel numbers in MusicXML range from 1 to 16, Rosegarden starts at 0 MIDI program numbers range from 1 to 128, Rosegarden starts at 0 The part-name is empty (don't know if that is legal or not) The score-part is empty (don't know if that is legal or not) These issues prevent me from importing Rosegarden files into either KGuitar or NoteEdit. Would you be interested in having this fixed ? I would, off course, be willing to help.
