Oh no way, definitely not.   Been doing lots of audio stuff this week and
getting some good progress but we've got a load of pretty serious bugs
hanging around still and lots of things that need addressing.  I'm sure
Chris' stuff is going to take some time to stabilise too.

I'm away all next week too house hunting but still hoping to get some work
done.  I reckon three weeks is going to be the earliest we could consider
to get the current CVS polished up enough.  I've been updating the 1.0_release
text file daily and the list is getting much shorter now - almost all the
features are complete or thereabouts and it's just bugs now.  Just lots of 'em!
Before we go even pre-beta (and remember that will be followed up immediately
by the official beta if everything is looking good after a couple of weeks)
we also need to be characterising performance on optimised code too.  I'm 
starting to get a reasonable feel of what we can squeeze out of her so we'll be
able to tell the world that you can get this kind of performance on this kind of
platform (at least audio and MIDI wise anyway).

It's looking good but there's still a way to go.
