Wow, sounds like you're having a lot of fun with all of that. At the other end of the spectrum I'm building and testing on slower machines with some quite pleasing results. RG takes an age to build optimised on a P700/256MB but it actually runs pretty usefully. I'm still scratching my head trying to find a way around the dialup/slow machine performance gradient with JACK though. The SuSE (9.0) kernel is annoying me - having a lot of low latency stuff in it already but not having capabilities enabled means that we can't use jackstart which seriously impacts performance on a reasonably quick machine. Of course I could install RH9/Fedora and download packages but not everyone wants to reinstall their system for the sake of its audio infrastructure. Anyone got any clues on getting capabilities enabled on SuSE 9.0?
