It *should* be enough to prevent the problem, but I'll bet nobody has ever 
tried to conditionally build or not build an entire source file before.  I 
can't think of any examples of that, off hand.  Just bits that are ifdeffed 
out of files that otherwise compile.

I'll check this out in a moment myself and see if I can offer anything 
further.

Yes we were, weren't we?  :)  I first learned programming on a TRS-80 Color 
Computer and a Commodore VIC-20, I think it was called.  IIRC it only had 4K 
of RAM.

We had the Commodores in school, and right next door was the classroom where I 
learned to type.  On an old mechanical Royal that had no 1 key.
