That reminds me -- changing the subject here -- any chance you could 
take a look at the percussion matrix editor and see if you can suggest 
a way to prevent the diamond shapes for the notes resizing themselves 
when you zoom?  That is, to make them immune from zooming in the same 
way as the text on the segment canvas used to be, I guess.  That should 
probably give me a start, but the canvas zoom stuff makes my head hurt.

Don't worry about it if you don't want to get distracted from the main 
canvas work or are just too busy.

To reproduce the effect I mean:

 - create a segment
 - right-click, open in percussion matrix
 - click to add a note
 - change zoom

It would be good if the diamond retained the same aspect ratio after the 
zoom change.
