Thanks.

This file is wrongly encoded -- the problematic characters are encoded in 
ISO-8859-1, but Rosegarden expects UTF-8, the XML document is specified as 
UTF-8, and Rosegarden should have enforced UTF-8 when it saved the file.

How did these text events arrive in the composition in the first place?  Is 
this a file imported from MIDI?  Is the version you sent me the direct result 
of saving from Rosegarden?  (i.e. it hasn't been edited since then.)
