Hi team,
I tried again to get RG-4 (stable) working with aRTs (Solaris platform)
using OSS instead the native Sun API, and recompiling the entire chain
(Qt....RG) ; it works but :
1) The sound quality is less good with oss as with Sun /dev/audio ;
2) Same problem : even stopping successfully the play, the machine
continue... Only halting artswrapper i can stop that.
The problem seems definitively to be between aRTs and RG, but where ?
My idea was to try to modify something in ArtsDriver.h or .cpp, but
finally i'm not sure that i don't need to also change something in aRTs
itself... Big problem...
I hope that the next RG release will provide any solution, even a little
poor, for non-Linux users... :-D
