Yes, that's what I meant. If all the preview values are 0, no rects are drawn. 
I'm committing a change to the minimum height of preview rects is 1 rather 
than 0. Apparently these 1-pix high rects are drawn white here too, I guess 
that's something going on in the color computation.

I'd guess in the memory of your graphic card, but I'm no expert either.
