So 1.2.4 is out. Hooray!

I'm about to go back through some emails from this past week (when I've
been mostly out of commission) so as to try to find out what this track
parameters / segment defaults business is all about.

First though:

1.2.4 isn't much of a release. 1.3 is the interesting one, and it's
important that we get it out fairly soon, otherwise we'll have no new
features released at all for probably more than a year -- judging by my
own likely schedule for the release after 1.3, I'm inclined to think
February is the very earliest it could possibly be out. The stuff we
have lined up for 1.3 seems just about right for a new feature release
at this point, and in particular the multitrack MIDI recording and
range cut/paste are long overdue features already.

So no, I think 1.3 on Sept 15th it should be.

I still have a bit of work to do for this one on tempo editing. Apart
from that I think the original feature list (that Pedro reposted)
should stand, unless you do think the segment defaults work will be
releasable by then. Work for 1.3 will continue on the trunk for now,
but a week or two before the release I'll make a 1.3-release branch, in
which we can then do the work of chopping out any features that aren't
yet ready or aren't scheduled for 1.3 at all. Then we test and bugfix
in that branch (committing the fixes across to trunk as well) before
eventually releasing from it.
