Dear Micheal,
Concerning your screen shot. Sometimes My screen looks like that in Thorn
right after a build. I just exit and the next run is as expected. I was just
ignoring it since we are not even at alpha yet.
But I am assuming you are having a persistent issue.
Try to exit, and ./rosegarden without changing the code and see what happens.
