I am creating a standalone studio definition for the CM-64 with help from
the MT-32 file already included, and noticed its controllers and drum set
keymapping, neither of which I'd considered for the SC-8850... That made me
investigate it, and now see how the SC-88 studio's creator managed multiple
drum keymaps. There are so many of them for the SC-8850 that it will take
me quite a while to define them all, but this time I'm copy/pasting from
the SC-8850 PDF manual (which contains embedded text) so it's easier in
that respect. I've also already defined all the controllers. One feature
I don't think Rosegarden supports yet is aftertouch (the SC-8850 can use
"Channel"-only aftertouch, not "Key" aftertouch). It's not a (single?)
controller, as I understand it, and think it would probably have to be
defined with a different "type" argument, as "pitchbend" is. So far, I've
added a commented out reminder line for it. I have no aftertouch keyboard
anyway, but it could be a useful feature for some.
Thanks,
Lucas
