Hello everyone,

The current minimum cmake requirement is 2.8.12, according to the toplevel
CMakeLists.txt

I'd like to increase it to at least 3.1 (see next email for why).

For reference, we just increased it to CMake 3.6 in KDE Frameworks 5.

According to https://repology.org/metapackage/cmake/badges, dropping support
for 2.8.12 and 3.0.x would only be a problem for users of
* CentOS 6 and Ubuntu 12.04 (both of which don't even have Qt5)
* CentOS 7 -- those users can just follow the instructions at
https://www.heliocastro.info/?p=238 in order to get cmake 3.x
* Debian oldstable -- that's really old

What do you think?
