Maybe you can save a template file in Rosegarden with your preferred setup?
(File > Save as
Template... IRRC)

I use Rosegarden to write string arrangements. I always have the same tracks:
one audio track, and 5
MIDI tracks (two violins, viola, cello, bass). For each MIDI track, I have it
set to use the
Fluidsynth plugin, reading from the same sound font file, with the appropriate
instrument selected
(violin, viola, cello, contrabass) -- plus, I have another synth track
available with the a
pizzicato string section instrument selected, so I can switch to that for any
track.

I have that saved as a Rosegarden template file, so whenever I start working on
a new song, I just
open the template, and all my synth plugins and soundfonts are loaded and
instruments pre-selected.
