I put some comments in Rotary related to this. I'll have a look when I get back to it. I think the status bar is a more consistent location for the "right-click does this" sort of help. So I think it would be a good idea to move that there. Of course, the Rotary knobs are used in other windows that have no status bar, so we'll either need to add one or fall back on tool tips.
