Hi, I just thought it might make sense to have a relation that describes what you have to do when changing from a certain way onto a certain other way (specifically for motorway junctions). Something like:
members: from=way_a onto=way_b exit=node_c tags: type=road_change (or junction_guidance, or signposting, or....) signpost=Bratislava (free text used in written directions - "follow signs to ...") This is just a raw idea and might need some more thinking but I firmly believe that there are junctions of a complexity that makes it impossible to auto-generate good drivers's instructions from the road layout data alone. It somewhat encapsulates existing/proposed motorway exit tagging I guess.
