I find the Image module to be greatly under appreciated. While it
does suffer from terse documentation, it's capable of some really
wonderful results. To demonstrate, I threw together a little sample
script that generates those ubiquitous "Web 2.0" buttons. Simply
punch in your text and the desired color, and the Image module will
do the rest. I wrote the script to run under Caudium, but it should
run with little to no modification on Roxen.
Even if you're not into the end result, there are some interesting
techniques that you can use for other purposes. In particular, I
wrote some functions that generate arcs and rounded rectangles, which
I find quite useful.
