John, There's one thing that I am wondering about. In the description of the MinML project, you seem to say that your major interest in writing MinML was XML-RPC, right ? Why not then write a dedicated parser for XML-RPC ??
The specification of Dave Winer is known to be frozen so there is no danger. And it would bring a big speed-up I believe as, for example, the amount of attributes is extremely small. This speed-up would be an interesting advantage compared to SOAP.
