I'm not using in production at the moment, but I have massively modified the whole code base for my needs. Mainly as I've extended the xml-rpc spec to handle any type of java object as I'm purley doing java client to java server.

I would have to do a suitable load testing run to truly find out if it's worth
while using. Using it as a starting point and suitably modifying it for your
needs is probably the way to go, until you can stress test it.

I have had a look at the commons daemon package, bu couldn't really get
my head around it.  Is anyone on the list using it, or have some simple
code examples indicating how to use it with xml-rpc.

I'm not using it yet, but I'm planning to. I'm currently using the Commons launcher though, which is quite nice.
