That is the problem! The RPCemu zip package arrives with an "HOSTFS" dir, and it occurred to me that the case of the name might be the problem, so tried renaming it "HostFS", as per the iconbar name, with no success. I just did as you suggested and it all works. Wonderful! I might now be able to make some progress. > > I just tried running rpcemu with no "hostfs" directory... OK. Let me see how I get on now that the hostfs issue is sorted. If it looks like ROS4 is causing me too much grief then perhaps I need to look at what can be done to get a copy of 3.71. To avoid any legal issues I think I will have to sort out how to do that here. I have a 'spare' RPC which I think has ROS4.02, but I may be able to get it running with the 3.71 roms and copy the image off to CD-ROM. I'm not sure what sort of issues there are in doing that, it may be a diversion that is a bigger problem than I am trying to solve! To those who maintain the package, it might be useful to look at changing the naming of the HOSTFS dir within the Linux archive, to prevent others from having the same problem as I have had. I am also having some keyboard problems. There are lots of problems actually, and I must spend a bit of time soon trying to document them and report to the mailing list. Thanks for your help.
