Hullo All,
I have been trying to find out a bit more about the strange floppy drive
behaviour that I reported on 20/1/08.
The floppy filer window is now displaying what appears to be a copy of the
contents of a dir that I have in HostFS. This Dir is named "Boot402" and has
a ROS4.02 !Boot inside. As previously reported the filer window describes the
drive contents as "ADFS::12_36_Fri.$"
If I use Linux to move the Boot402 dir from hostfs, and re-open HostFS, this
'phantom' dir is still displayed, and the !Boot dir can be opened to display
the contents.
It even occurs after a shutdown and restart of ROS within rpcemu.
I tried copying the contents to the hardDisc dir and the 'Copying Files' dbox
appears and things start to happen, but then ROS freezes and the rpcemu
process has to killed.
It is all a bit strange and after the issue with !TechWriter I can't help
wondering what I have done that might have caused this. Blowed if I know. It
seems hell bent on finding a mysterious dir on a floppy disc that isn't in
the floppy drive!
I'm sure there must be other bits of info that will be needed to track this
one down, but I really don't know what that would be. Please ask you need
more specific info and I will try to provide it.

Cheers,

Regards,
Terry Duell
