A few days ago I had networking, even ShareFS on RPCEmu working fine. Then, after working for a day it suddenly stopped working and two days of efforts will not restore it.
Having exhausted everything I could think of to fix the problem I started again completely. I un-installed everything from the PC and started from scratch and once again fell in the Apple talk trap which means you have to start all over again as there is no way back from it. Note to developers. Please add the notes on removing Apple talk to the main instructions as its fatal if you forget this operation. Having completed it again I was sure it would work again but no. It still just refuses. The problem is partly because there appears to be no way to test the links in the chain so breaking the problem down is impossible. ifconfig -a is just as the notes say but nothing will even ping. I must that I cannot see anything else to try and I'm looking at defeat which is infuriating as it all worked so well just a couple of days ago. Has anyone any thoughts or advice as to how I can break down the problem?
