My network has ( to keep it simple ) : Iyonix 192.168.3.99 Router 192.168.3.97 prcemu 192.168.3.100 the laptop hosting rpcemu 192.168.3.102 All of them have a ...248 nw mask. I now have a working boot sequence, apart from the fact that at the first attempt to boot the OS I get the following error now: Machine startup has not completed successfully: 'Route socket: Unknown error :134787' A Retry boots close to correctly but when I go to a Task window and try to ping any machine, by ip address or name, the ping fails to return. (The hosts files are working as the ip address is bracketed) However it is possible to ping from the other machines to rpcemu. The command ifconfig -a now returns an entry riscem0; is it significant it hasn't got the 'u' ? Needless to say without the full ping'ing I can't get other network drives set up. Note I have made some progress, but would be pleased if anyone can see what is still wrong.
