It works for me too, with Mac OS X 10.6.7 and RISC OS 4.39.

If I remember correctly support for multiple HostFS drives was added to the 
non-spoon version of RPCEmu but it never made it into the spoon edition (which 
is what the OS X versions that I've built are based on). The lines in Robert's 
config file look like they're to do with that multi-drive support, so they 
won't have any effect with RPCEmu (spoon) v0.8.8-devel.
