Emailing this for two reasons. 1) I've started using a 1600 x 1000 (57Hz nominal) mode and - so far - this seems OK. No sign as yet of the odd problems I got when I first setup 0.8.9 here. Sod's Law says that having reported this I will duly get problems. If so, I'll go back to 1280 x 1024. But it may be the problems were because I'd not configured the emulator correctly when I began. So later changes may have helped.
2) I've continued using 0.8.9 with RO4.02 to write documents. Been using TechWriter, Composition, TheApplicationFormerlyKnownAsImageMaster, etc. all seem so far to work fine. However I still get the 'roller skating mouse' effect I reported. It isn't a serious problem, but does keep catching me out as it only does this some of the time. Is this a 'known problem' already - as per the shudown freeze - or am I the only person who gets this? Overall, thanks for the work put into RPEmu. As things stand I'm slowly drifting towards using it with my Linux box for most document writing as it saves having to keep switching hardware. The emulator also boots up faster than my Iyonix! :-) If this continues I may end up just using the Iyonix for pluto email/news and for reading audio CDRs!
