I will not mind if there is a proxy system, but I believe that the chair measures consensus not-only based in the sense of the participants in the meeting room, but also in what has been expressed in the mailing list. That's the reason why it is NECCESARY, for everybody to say, before the meeting, if they are in favor or against the proposal(s).
Regarding the PI proposal, I already have sent to Vincent a draft of what I think will be a good combination among the existing proposals taking in consideration what has been said in the mailing list, so hopefully we will have a new version (withdrawing the others) very quickly and everybody will have the opportunity to concentrate in a single proposal and speak up if they are in favor or against.
