Dears colleagues and members,
The Board has discussed during its past meetings two documents related
to AfriNIC's fees structures 2008/2009 and the review of AfriNIC
constitution based on recommendation received from our legal Adviser
in Mauritius to make the actual constitution consistent with the local
laws.
One of the major change in the constitution is the two levels of
membership status: Associate Members and Full Members.
The associate Members will be constituted of all organisations or
individuals who receive service from AfriNIC, while full members will
be composed of the 13th board members (Primary and alternates plus
the Chief executive Officer). This main change is due to the
limitation to 50 members that private companies have in Mauritius
(over 50 members, the company shall become public company).
The two documents are available on-line for a 15 days comment period
before final action from the board.
