What's killing RPM (and Ruby) is "0xb6f0da90 in rb_threadptr_revmove_event_hook () from /usr/lib/libruby.so.1.9". RPM code doesn't register any event hooks with the Ruby interpreter and shouldn't need to. Hoom.
