I think there's both automake-1.11.2 and automake-1.12 fixes.
But rpm-5.4.9 released this morning here

SHOULD build with automake-1.12.

In fact, automake-1.12 is MANDATORY (iirc) or there's a need
to retrofit some new M4 macro for older versions of automake.
