Added this and the previous patches upstream. I am still not 100% happy with the code added to rpmbuild. But let's be realistic here: Adding the facilities to do this in a clean way is a much bigger thing to do and postponing these changes till then is not helping anyone. If we ever get the ability to add files and also sub packages from (dependency) generator scripts we can move the logic back out.
