NAK, $(libdir) is simply wrong for this purpose. It's decidedly a literal
"/usr/lib/rpm", as per FHS:
http://www.pathname.com/fhs/pub/fhs-2.3.html#USRLIBLIBRARIESFORPROGRAMMINGANDPA
If you really need to be able to override the directory, submit a patch that
adds an a configure option to do so for the entire path, eg
--rpmconfigdir=</what/ever/the/heck> and defaults to the current traditional
value.
