This is true for some on the hardware mentioned as supported here:
http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi/wiki/SupportedHardware
But some models (either Acer or not) will not be supported and could be (not
even sure) supported by acerhk.
This module is known as %{ix86} only, indeed.
This module use the old style kernel module scheme, we don't use that nowadays.
Are you able to convert it ?
