I posted to the mailing list and Xavier tried helping but I still can't get access. 2) I did open a bug report about the PAE kernel but it seems it was deleted (at least I can't find it). There does appear to be some kind of difficulty with this module and the PAE kernel - I don't know if it is specific to this kmod or a problem with kmodtool but here is the info I have: a) Installing on a PAE kernel wants to pull in the non-PAE kernel as a dependency b) Installing on a PAE kernel it doesn't actually seem to install the "wl.ko" module into the PAE kernel modules path so it isn't available through modprobe.
