Maybe it would be better to drop it from yum-utils in Fedora and ship it as separate package in RPM Fusion?
I think that is a good idea, if a 3 part repo is containing kernel module there need special plugins, then they should be ship in the 3 part repo. [...]

Sounds good. And how do we handle it upstream? Do we become upstream or shall we try to send the changes to yum-utils upstream? Would that be acceptable for James? The pugin iirc is used on RHEL and we need to decide if we want to continue to support that in the latest version or if the latest version only support the current stuff.

RHEL contains a patched version of of an old release of the plugin, so it lives its own life.

For now we can keep in yum-utils git, but i might be an idea to rename it, if we a making changes to make it more specific to rpmfusion.org kmods. I dont think James, as any problems with that.
