Normally I would invite you to co-maintain openshot with the submitter of bug 993, but since you're not a packager yet, that is sort of hard. In general we advice people who want to become a packager, to first do so for Fedora itself: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackageMaintainers/Join One of the main reasons for that is that the Fedora project has a lot more contributors and thus a lot more capacity for coaching people to become packagers.
