I assume this has been covered elsewhere and I'm just unable to track it down right now? Yum has picked up the nvidia-kmod-180.29-1.fc10.2 update which describes it as a metapackage for keeping the kmod driver up2date.
But yum can't update and fails with: Setting up Update Process Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package kmod-nvidia.x86_64 0:180.29-1.fc10.2 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64 >= 180.29-1.fc10.2 for package: kmod-nvidia --> Running transaction >check ---> Package kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64.x86_64 0:180.29-1.fc10.2 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64 for package: kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64 --> Finished Dependency Resolution kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64-180.29-1.fc10.2.x86_64 from rpmfusion-nonfree-updates has depsolving problems --> Missing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64 is needed by package kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64-180.29-1.fc10.2.x86_64 (rpmfusion-nonfree-updates) Error: Missing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64 is needed by package kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64-180.29-1.fc10.2.x86_64 (rpmfusion-nonfree-updates) uname -r 2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.x86_64 shows the latest kernel installed and the latest available for fedora 10 updates. Looking at the fedora 10 updates testing there is kernel-2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10 but this update hasn't been released yet and it would appear to be the kernel used for in the kmod update in the mainstream repo. Did someone jump the gun?
