As I mentioned in an earlier message, I am having problems
with the current 180.50/60 drivers not properly identifying the
modes on a dual quad Xeon box that uses a Tyan Tempest I5000
series motherboard with a EVGA GeForce 9800GT graphics card.
The stock xorg.conf for the nvidia drivers always brings up
640x480 as the graphics mode. This seems to be related to the
warning...

Does anyone have an ideas on why the EDID information isn't being found on this
hardware? I previously had been using the stock radeon driver with a Radeon
X1600 Pro card and the Xorg.0.log in that case had no issues reading the EDID
information from the monitor. Also I tried using the command 'monitor-get-edid
-v'
as root but it produces the output...

Interestingly, on the machine that can obtain the EDID information
for the monitor in the nvidia driver, I get the same results.
