1.Now ATi Catalyst 9.8 for Linux has been released. Has RPM Fusion any plan to release Catalyst 9.8 RPMs? HD series Users have no any 3D acceleration Drivers on Fedora. The latest driver supports kernel-2.6.29/30. This day I try to install it manually. But I failed for the reason that system can not modprobe fglrx module. I do not know why. So users wrote a thread on phoronix forum and said that maybe KMS or DRI2 causes the error. As we know, KMS and DRI2 are enabled by default on Fedora 11. Is this the real reason? i just want to know whether RPM Fusion will release RPMs of Catalyst 9.8 on Fedora 11 or not. Catalyst is too terrible to use.
My Video Card is Sapphire HD 3650 256MB. My OS is Fedora 11. 2. i have another desktop with ECS Geforce 8600GT. I know that RPM Fusion has provided nvidia driver with VDPAU support. But just like another player and codecs, such as mplayer, ffmpeg and xine, haove no vdpau supprt. Users need to add new configure option "--enable-vdpau" and recompile the pacakge. Does any plan for RPM Fusion to provides mplayer and ffmpeg and xine with vdpau support? --
Fight for freedom!!!!(3F) Ask not what your Linux distro can do for you!
