Some of the apps I use that playback mp3 audio seem to suffer from some annoying bugs. The most obvious is that seeking is disabled -- the audio plays as if streaming. This happens in both Totem and Miro. I believe both are using gstreamer.
Furthermore, there are sometimes crashes during playback. Miro in particular crashes whenever it attempts to play a second mp3 file (e.g. hit track next on a feed). Is anyone else having these problems? I had though that perhaps one of the gstreamer packages was affected by the gcc issue, but I haven't seen an update for those.
