No, at least you should have the lastest akmod-nvidia matching the
lastest xorg-x11-drv-nvidia for a given mirror as they were pushed at
the same time. That's the important thing along with having the
matching nvidia kernel module for a given kernel.
yum clean all&& yum update
Then if that's still fail can you report the mirror you are using ?
something might be broken.

ok, thanks for the reply. It seems ok now. I guess I must have
misunderstood that the date of 11 Nov seen here:
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/updates/14/x86_64/repoview/index.html
is not the date they were made generally available.
