I've now completed the upgrade from F18 --> F20.. I ended up removing these packages ie mythtv and kmod-nvidia and upgrade went ahead ok except I obviously had to install the kmod-nvidia package AFTER upgrade to get the graphical boot up to work.
I wasn't quiet sure what was going on with MySQL I ended up with two db packages so uninstalled mariadb-galera-server and installed mariadb-server this allowed MythTV to work apart from updating the Password HASH ... I only had one critical issue with my Network interface which I needed to set my ifcfg-eth0 to be Network_mananged =yes which previously I # commented out. so my MythBox is now back up.. I need to research the network interfaces for future upgrades.
