I reported earlier that vlc-3.0.0.0-15.fc24.x86_64 was giving immediate
segfaults with my locally created DVDs. I haven't been working with the
fc24 box over the last few days, but now find that -0.16 does the same -
and in fact does it with simple .mpg files as well. Could perhaps be an
nvidia 304 thing. I haven't tried nouveau lately. I've again reverted
to vlc-3.0.0-0.1
But the version of smplayer currently in testing plays them well - and
will also play them on my tv with control via the monitor screen and
keyboard. I may well stay with that for a while.
